Bronze chests gave out 5,000 minimum, with the video you could get around 8,000 coins every time. It was very easy to get 21,000 coins or more in a gold chest. Gold chests would give about 16,000 Coins every time plus extra coins for watching a video were almost always included. Keep in mind chests gave more money back then. I don't remember how long it took but I was grinding out about 100,000 coins a day. Same goes for dune buggy, it's really good at some of the events and Desert Valley and Mountain in adventure. The rally car wasn't around then but you might want to do it before the formula because it's good in some of the events. Then I fully upgraded Super Diesel and used it to get the coins to upgrade everything else, including the formula when it came out. I started with the Super Jeep and ignored the rollcage upgrades.
It was just the jeep, scooter, super jeep, motocross, sports car, monster truck, and super diesel. When I first started playing there wasn't as many cars as there are now.
